Thanks. I’ve watched everything!
I’m asking about the actual mechanics, ie. price ladder level. Do they actually enter the market, add or remove layers of limits. Or are they actually inside the auction algorithm, can they influence, or control, the price auctioning mechanism?
I’m wondering what level of price fixing are we dealing with. Can they just tsunami orders into the market, or do they own the market mechanism. I know you can buy your way to the front of the queue on CME for example. Or is the market responding, arbitrage, to something they do elsewhere?
I understand things better if I can work up from the micro level, I haven’t a clue how they do it.
I remember GeorgeAUS saying ‘they are the liquidity’! Never understood what this means though.
Happy Crimbo 🙂
Anyone?
Yes but what does Medium term mean? 1 hour, 1 day etc. ? What is the term it refers to?
Thanks.
Thanks for the video. Does Medium Term mean say stops from the 4 hr chart, ST from the 1hr and LT from the Daily?
It’s great to see a bit of activity on the forum, I totally understand anyone’s frustration. There’s a lot of experience here if we can tap it positively. Djamal’s knowledge is so much deeper than all of ours so I get his frustration that he has shown us everything he knows and we still can’t see it. Well, actually, I do see it but not with his level of understanding, yet. Screen time is the answer to that. Even Djamal points out that this is not an absolute solution but is the closest one can get. We are always 2 or 3 steps behind the movers. If I could read Roger Federer’s mind I still couldn’t beat him at tennis. I might get a few points past him though.
I get the basics, even the advance stuff. I’m watching every video he’s made, there are hundreds, they are definitely not faked. They get me into the flow of the SM mindset, algo set. I even forecasted the GU stop take on friday but with my experience level I also saw a move higher first which caused me confusion, so that is where more experience will give me higher confidence.
Thanks for everything you’ve shown us Djamal, amazing commitment.
And happy Birthday too, I’ve just had mine 🙂
Thanks, yes I thought MTS were the ones, when I read the explanation above it seemed to suggest MTS don’t move price and then concluded that they were the target, I got confused. The important thing I take from all this is that SME FX volume data is very different to my retail volumes on Tradovate or FXCM. You just can’t see these volumes on normal data feeds. Is this correct?
I agree that stops do seem to get swept up in the course of price moving and not necessarily the primary target. I see price moving to fill in voids in volume, however these places are exactly where stops are placed also, because they are above/below previous price turns.
UserX, the very same and I’m honoured to get a reply Djamal, thanks. That is the way I understood everything but just wanted to check my understanding following a sudden idea I had. It seems so odd that DM will continually short a rising market, it is counter intuitive so I was trying a different explanation that makes sense. Did you mean appetite for LTS? Cheers 🙂
Dear Djamal,
Thankyou for providing this excellent website. Please can you review my access to the video course, it worked last week when I paid for it but now won’t allow me access. My livestream access is fine but I’m sure you are aware that you keep getting WinZip advert popups that cover the screen!
Could you explain the PositionAmount and PositionAmountHistory fields on the LiveStream? Do they both change with time?
Many trhanks, Neil.
