Hello. I’m on EST time zone and I work during New York session hours in the U.S., so being able to trade “after hours” when I get home from work is huge for me because trying to trade while i’m at work is very tough (using a phone etc.). Tonight I noticed that the Y axis bars were not available on the charts? Is this a factor related to the after hours Asia session only? Is it always like this? I placed a couple of small trades and took two small losses. Trying to trade without the Y axis bars is definitely trading a bit blind…
no, it is normally there,
only at around 23:15 (during the fixing period) the data will look like that for around 15 minutes. Thereafter it is as before.
Note that across all FX markets spreads will be very high during the “fixing time” and that it is not recommended to place trades then.
