ParticipantA big thanks to Djamal for your hard selfless work wich realy help me a lot.
I noticed the pos vol indi give a notice before the pos amount indi on whats to come. I mean just becuse there is a lot of trades does’nt meant ther’s lots of volume. So from SMC algo point of view I think there more intrested in volume than the amount of trades.
If you have the time mayby you can give your take on the reading of PositionsAmount and Volume indis. - October 4, 2022 at 11:24 am#40701

I would also imagine volume is more important than the amount of positions?
Or those the relationship between them affect the conviction? - October 5, 2022 at 5:34 pm#41057

Keymaster“I noticed the pos vol indi give a notice before the pos amount indi on whats to come.” Sometimes, yes.
“So from SMC algo point of view I think there more intrested in volume than the amount of trades.” Often, yes. Think about it; trader groups who are over-leveraged are easy to “serve” with a nasty countermove.

We wouldn’t say more important, however, easier to take out (see above).
